I think children should be educated properly and this seems like a very good book. Only with open discussion and education we can avoid teen or unwanted pregnancy.

The title is obviously in jest, and wrong - this is precisely what every child needs to learn as a normal part of growing up. Parents are free to choose when to talk about it, but it must be done sooner or later - or else the kids learn it the hard way.

I learned about all this in kindergarten, and we had an awesome comic book to help. It was drawn and written with lots of love, and the whole process never seemed shocking to me. There's nothing wrong with explaining children where their little siblings come from and how their bodies work. I do not understand people who wait until after their little girl got scared incredibly by her first period.

What is wrong with this? That seems like a great book for kids! Just the right amount of information.

Great book! Exactly the kind I was requesting when I was the daddy of a toddler, but which weren't available then.

We did manage, though. Later, when I explained the flowers and the bees, she was very fascinated: "Then the pollen is just like semen, isn't it, daddy?". Sure, you got the idea. little girl!

Obviously, this was not in the USA, and it was a few years ago. If I were a daddy today, even here in Europe I'd be very reluctant to use (or at least to let others know that I use) books such as this one (or e.g. "Show me!") to teach plain anatomy to young kids. Honestly, I never understood the reasoning behind "forbidding" knowledge about your own body, while noone objects to e.g. schoolkids dissecting a frog to study its anatomy. But that's how we want to bring up kids today - ignorant of their own bodies.

Explains it pretty plainly.I guess if you were one of those prudish parents who can't talk to their kids about procreation and end up doing them more harm than good then this would seem wrong.
